“Homegrown Preschool is truly a magical place. It’s where children learn to slow down, notice the smallest details, and feel deeply connected to the world around them. Jamie brings incredible creativity and intention to every (literal) season, thoughtfully shaping each day around the plants, animals, sounds, and subtle changes outdoors. The small size of the program allowed her to truly get to know my son as an individual and support him so personally during his formative 3s year. It’s such a rare and beautiful foundation for preschool years, one that nurtures curiosity and wonder that lasts well beyond the classroom!”

“Our two children are very different, but Homegrown was incredible for both of them. Lucy came in shy and sensitive and left with so much more confidence and a love for journaling and nature. Beckett, full of energy and curiosity, learned how to channel that into imaginative play and building real self-awareness.

Being outside in all kinds of weather gave them a deep love for nature and a resilience we see every day. Jamie is a truly special teacher who meets each child exactly where they are and knows them in such a thoughtful, personal way.

We will always be grateful that this was our children’s first experience with school.”

“Our family will always be incredibly grateful for the time our son and daughter have spent at this wonderful nature-based daycare in Red Bank. Finding a place that truly feels like a second home for your children is rare, but that’s exactly what Jaime has created.

With a small group of kids in a cozy home, every child receives so much attention, care, and encouragement. Jaime is incredibly patient, kind, and loving with the kids, and it shows in everything she does. What makes it even more special is that her whole family is involved—they are all caring, welcoming, and treat the children like part of their extended family.

The backyard is something truly special. Our kids spent their days outside on the playground, climbing the ninja rope, playing in the mud kitchen, caring for the chickens, and helping grow vegetables in the garden. They watch caterpillars turn into butterflies and learn how to care for our earth! It’s the kind of environment where kids are encouraged to explore, get a little muddy, take healthy risks, and build real confidence- no matter the weather!

The impact on our children has been amazing. Our son is now six years old and incredibly confident and capable—he rides his bike, climbs anything he can find, and approaches the world with curiosity and adventure. That confidence and love for the outdoors absolutely started during his time here.

More importantly, both of our kids grew strong, independent, and adventurous. They learned to trust themselves, try new things, and enjoy being outside.

The only downside is that kids can only stay for a few years. We truly wish our children could have stayed longer. Jaime has created something really special here, and any family lucky enough to send their children will quickly understand how meaningful that environment is. ”
